LDI Constructions currently employs a team of over 45 civil engineering, construction and administration professionals. Our people are carefully selected for their individual experience and expertise and shared commitment to operate under our strict quality, safety and environmental operating systems, policies and procedures.
LDI Constructions is ably lead by a management team who not only provide leadership and direction to daily activities, but contribute to the organisation’s extensive depth of industry knowledge and experience. Key personnel include:
Peter Thompson – Managing Director
Peter Thompson is Managing Director of LDI Constructions (QLD) Pty Ltd. Peter provides the strategic management, executive leadership and the development of new markets and opportunities. Peter’s strong focus on safety and disciplined project controls, has resulted in project certainty and value for money outcomes for clients, as well as business growth and improved profitability for the company.
Peter moved to Cairns from Adelaide in 1992, where he worked in commercial construction. Prior to starting LDI Constructions with Peter Pascoe, he worked for other civil construction companies in Cairns. Peter’s experience in construction ranges from projects worth $100,000 to $70 million.
Pete Pascoe - Senior Site Foreman & Director
Peter Pascoe is the Senior Site Foreman and a founding Director at LDI Constructions. Peter maintains on-site construction management and oversees all construction works on each project. He ensures a safe work environment for the construction staff and the general public. Peter co-ordinates all on site activities and manages the construction programme to ensure the project is completed on time, safely and within budget.
Peter has worked in the civil construction industry for thirty plus years in South Australia and Queensland. He has specialised experience in difficult sites including road construction, earthworks, drainage, sewer and subdivisional developments ranging from $10,000 to $25 million.
Jason Whiteside – Project Manager & Director
Jason Whiteside is a director and project manager at LDI Constructions. He joined in 2004 and was appointed a director in 2009. Jason is a graduate of University of Technology Sydney, where he received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) in 1998.
Throughout university, Jason worked as a student engineer gaining experience on various civil sites. After graduation he started work as a project engineer, working his way up to project manager for various civil construction companies. Prior to leaving Sydney, he was a project manager for CSR Emoleum, managing road construction projects up to $10 million throughout NSW.
On leaving Sydney, Jason joined LDI Constructions where he has overseen numerous projects for private developers, Local Government and Department of Transport and Main Roads, up to $25 million in Cairns and the outlying areas including the Torres Strait Islands.
Glenn Jones – Project Manager & Director
Glenn Jones is a director and project manager at LDI Constructions. Glenn graduated from the University of Wollongong with degrees in Civil Engineering and Finance in 2005. He worked as an Engineering Consultant to Sydney Water, before commencing as a Financial Derivatives Analyst at the Macquarie Group in 2006.
Glenn moved to Cairns and commenced with LDI in 2011. He was appointed a director in 2015. Glenn has worked on projects for various developers, State and Local Government Authorities, and his experience includes road construction, earthworks, drainage, sewer and subdivisional developments ranging from $10,000 to $25 million.
